Two months after the George Floyd riots that burned down a pawn shop, in Minneapolis, a badly burned corpse was found inside.
Police apparently received a tip about a body inside the Max It Pawn Shop and moved to search the building when they came across the man’s body, buried in the rubble.
“The body appears to have suffered thermal injury and we do have somebody charged with setting fire to that place,” Elder told the paper.
Montez Terrill Lee, 25, of Rochester, MN is already facing arson charges for that specific fire.
It is unknown whether he will face further charges after the discovery of the badly burned body.
According to Big League Politics, over 700 buildings, in Minneapolis, have been damaged during the Floyd riots.
A citywide survey conducted by the city of Minneapolis reveals that more than 700 buildings were either damaged, burned, or wholly destroyed in the riots that swept over the city following the death of George Floyd at the end of May.
Democrat mayors and governors across the country have allowed protests to turn into riots while ordering police to stand down and watch it all happen.
They need to be held accountable for their active participation in this violence.
